How to use pricing overrides, fees, and discounts on a Concierge order

The Pricing overrides card on a Concierge Order lets you manually control shipping costs, add custom fees, apply a discount, and configure tax. These values override anything auto-calculated from your storefront settings.

Opening the Pricing overrides card​

Go to Concierge → Orders, open the order, and scroll down on the Order tab to find the Pricing overrides card.

Shipping​

Enter a flat shipping amount to override the calculated shipping cost. Leave it blank to use the default calculated value.

Additional fees​

Use this section to add custom line items that appear in the order total — for example, a handling fee, rush fee, or gift wrapping charge.

  1. Click Add fee.
  2. Enter a label (shown on the order) and an amount.
  3. Repeat for any additional fees.

To remove a fee, click the X next to it.

Discount​

Enter a flat discount amount to reduce the order total. This is applied after subtotal and fees are calculated.

Tax​

You have two tax controls:

  • Tax rate — enter a percentage to override the storefront's default tax rate. Leave blank to use the default.
  • Applies to — choose whether the tax rate applies to:
    • Subtotal only — tax is calculated on products only
    • Subtotal + shipping — tax is calculated on products and shipping combined
  • Prices include tax — toggle this on if your item prices already have tax embedded in them. When enabled, tax will be extracted from the prices and shown separately rather than added on top of the total. When disabled, tax is calculated and added on top.

The "Applies to" and "Prices include tax" options are only active when a manual tax rate has been entered.

Saving changes​

Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply all pricing changes. The order total shown on the approval page will reflect these values.
