How to import your shipping rules from Shopify

The Shipping Import feature lets you pull your existing shipping zones and rates directly from your Shopify store into the platform. This saves you from having to manually recreate your shipping setup.

Before You Start​

Make sure your Shopify integration is active before attempting an import. If the integration is inactive, the import option will not be available. You can check the status on the Details tab of your Shopify integration page.

How to Import​

  1. Go to "Settings/Tools > Integrations" in the admin portal
  2. Select your Shopify integration
  3. Click the "Shipping Import" tab
  4. Click the "Import Shipping" button
  5. Wait for the import to complete — the button will show a loading state while it runs
  6. Once finished, you will see a confirmation message showing how many shipping rules and zones were imported

What Gets Imported​

The import pulls your delivery profiles from Shopify and creates the corresponding shipping methods, rules, and zones in the platform. Specifically, it maps:

  • Shipping methods — one per rate per country, based on your Shopify delivery profiles
  • Shipping rules — the pricing conditions attached to each method (e.g. flat rates, order value thresholds)
  • Shipping zones — the countries and regions each rule applies to

What is Skipped​

Some entries from Shopify are not imported. The following are excluded:

  • "Rest of World" zones
  • Countries not supported by the platform
  • Carrier-calculated rates (e.g. live rates from Australia Post, UPS, etc.)
  • Weight-based pricing conditions
  • Inactive rates

Re-running the Import​

You can run the import multiple times. Each run will:

  • Add any new shipping methods, rules, or zones that have been added in Shopify since the last import
  • Update the names of existing methods if they have changed in Shopify
  • Remove any previously imported entries that no longer exist in your Shopify store

Note: Only entries that were originally brought in via this import tool are affected when re-running. Any shipping rules you have created manually in the platform will not be touched.
