What Are Product Attributes?

Attributes are the characteristics that define the variations of a variable product. For example:

• A clothing product might have a Size attribute with options: Small, Medium, Large.
• The same product might also have a Colour attribute with options: Red, Blue, Green.

Attributes are only relevant for Variable product types. Once you define your attributes and their options, you can generate all the possible combinations as individual Variations (see below).
