What Is a Shipping Rule?

A shipping rule defines how shipping costs are calculated and applied to orders. Each rule is made up of three components:

• Name - a label to identify the rule in your admin portal.
• Pricing Rules - one or more price bands that map a cart value range to a shipping cost. For example, orders between $0–$50 cost $8.00 to ship, and orders over $50 ship free.
• Zones - the geographic areas this rule applies to, defined by location, state, and/or postcode.

How matching works:

• Shipping cost is calculated based on the total cart value before any fees are applied.
• Rules are applied per recipient - if an order has multiple recipients, the matched shipping cost is multiplied by the number of recipients.
• If more than one rule could apply, the system will match the most appropriate rule based on the recipient's address and the cart value.
