How to Create a Cart Discount

A cart discount is automatically applied at checkout when a customer's cart meets the conditions - no code required.
  1. In the left-hand navigation, go to Pricing & Payments > Discounts > Cart Level Discounts.
  2. Click New Cart Discount.
  3. Fill in the following fields:
    1. Name - a label for this discount (not shown to customers).
    2. Discount Type - choose Percentage or Dollar Value.
    3. Discount Value - enter the amount or percentage to discount.
    4. Max Discount - optionally cap the maximum discount applied (useful for percentage discounts with no upper limit).
    5. Currency - select the relevant currency.
    6. Minimum Cart Total - optionally set a minimum order value the customer must reach for the discount to apply. Leave blank to apply to all cart totals.
    7. Include Shipping - toggle on to also discount the shipping cost.
    8. Start Date - when the discount becomes active.
    9. End Date - optionally set an expiry. Leave blank for no end date.
    10. Storefronts - select which storefronts this discount applies to.
  4. Click Create Discount to save.

      When creating or editing a discount, click the End Date field. Select a date from the date picker. Save the discount. To remove an expiry date and make a discount open-ended, clear the End Date field when editing.
