How to Create a Discount Code

A discount code requires the customer to enter a promo code at checkout to receive the discount.
  1. In the left-hand navigation, go to Pricing & Payments > Discounts > Cart Level Discounts.
  2. Click New Discount Code.
  3. Fill in the following fields:
    1. Name - a label for this discount group (not shown to customers).
    2. Discount Type - choose Percentage or Dollar Value.
    3. Discount Value - enter the amount or percentage to discount.
    4. Max Discount - optionally cap the maximum discount (useful for percentage types).
    5. Currency - select the relevant currency.
    6. Minimum Cart Total - optionally require a minimum order value. Leave blank for no minimum.
    7. Include Shipping - toggle on to also discount the shipping cost.
    8. Stackable - choose how this code interacts with other discounts:
      1. Yes - can be combined with other active discounts.
      2. No - cannot be combined with any other discounts.
      3. Highest Only - only the highest value discount will be applied.
    9. Start Date - when the discount becomes active.
    10. End Date - optionally set an expiry. Leave blank for no end date.
    11. Storefronts - select which storefronts this discount applies to.
  4. In the Codes section, click Add Code to create one or more promo codes. For each code, enter:
    1. Code - the code customers will enter at checkout (4–32 characters, alphanumeric). Spaces are automatically converted to underscores.
    2. Usage Limit - optionally limit how many times this code can be used. Leave blank for unlimited uses.
  5. Click Create Discount to save.
Tip: You can add multiple unique codes under a single discount — useful for distributing individual single-use codes while managing them in one place.
